    Vegas Robaina famoso habano

This is a nice Cuban cigar. Excellent construction, very nice draw. The cigar looks flawless. It had just the right amount of filler leaf to give it a great draw without being too hard. It burned nice and evenly all throughout. The flavor was more mild than I expected. It had spice notes, leather, earthy notes, but not any cocoa that I noticed. The first 1/3 of the cigar had nice flavor, then it went fairly bland, but the last 1/3 picked up the flavor again. Overall I would have preferred a more robust flavor. This one had nice subtle notes and it didn't get harsh, but it didn't win me over. It's a nice cigar but definitely not my favorite.

Knock yourself out. They're pretty decent but they just don't cut it for the price, what I mean by that is the tobacco is premium but the rollers who make these usually are not. There are Trinidad's and Cohiba's in the same price range and those are the real premium Habanos brands.

lol spoken like someone who knows nothing about cigars. The cigar has flawless construction, as you can see from the photos. It was perfect, silky smooth leaf, and had an excellent, slightly tight draw. The only thing that was lacking was the flavor wasn't as robust as I prefer. There is NOTHING wrong with how it was rolled. It was better rolled than the Montecristos I've had. Furthermore, if you only smoke Cohiba and Trinidad you're missing out on Partagas, H. Upmann, Juan Lopez, Hoyo de Monterrey, and fucking Montecristo. There is more to Cuban cigars than just Cohiba. Yeah Cohiba makes good cigars, but there are a ton of good Cuban cigars and if you haven't tried them you can't go talking shit.

My boss ordered 50 for $385. Comes out to $7.70 a stick. He gave me one. I like when he puts in orders cause I can just buy a few off him without having to order a whole box.

Wow, way to take things personally. I wasn't saying you didn't get a flawless VR because it's totally possible, I was referring to the fact that box for box, VR's and Monte's in particular (formerly premium brands) have suffered in quality since Habanos SA decided to make Cohiba it's single premium brand. This is further evidenced by the fact that Trinidad production was recently suspended with plans for a re-release when current stock runs dry. I don't only smoke Cohiba's and Trinny's, my favourite everyday cigar is a Punch Petit Punch. But if I want something in a similar vitola to the Famoso I'd always go with either a cheaper option like a Saint Luis Rey Regios or El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme and get the same quality, OR hand over the cash and get a Siglo II.

Also, for someone that knows nothing about cigars, I must feel a bit silly having a fucking 100ct humidor in my living room

Chill the fuck out Fanglecry, why do you always behave like you have to prove something to me?
