I live in the Philadelphia area, outside the city yet somewhat close. I just got back from Harrisburg on official state business so I figured I'd share my travels.

Let me just start by saying that I hate the Northeast; it's too crowded and liberal for my liking. My parents both grew up in NYC, so we frequently traveled there to see relatives. As for my immediate area, it's situated close to multiple major highways which makes commuting to New York or Philadelphia relatively easy.

The only sounds I hear as I’m driving down the highway are those of passing cars. My radio and air conditioning have been broken for awhile, and I’m too lazy to get either fixed. I’ve gotten used to this and learned to appreciate this stretch of silence in anticipation of the noise and chaos that usually awaits me.
